2. DOOM-related information
-------------------------------

Your DOOM config (key bindings, controllers):
Standard MS 2-button mouse, vertical sensitivity disabled.
D = Strafe left
F = Strafe right
H = Speed
Alt = Back
Space = Use
Left mouse button = Fire
Right mouse button = Forward

Size of DOOM directory on your HD:
Main Doom2 directory 50 megs, the whole directory structure 180 megs (I have all megawads etc. in separate directories)
First contact to COMPET-N (when, how etc.):
Sometimes late 1995 I downloaded Doom1 episode runs by Steffen and Uwe from cdrom, I can't remember how I got there in the first place...
First COMPET-N demo:
fa10-713 (late, but I had a 486-33 until Dec97, you don't make records with that)
Favourite COMPET-N demo(s) from yourself (the one(s) that you're most proud of):
I only uploaded a few, but lv24-040 I guess since it's such a classic annoyance level. I know I'm different, but I like it! :)
Favourite COMPET-N demo(s) from others:
Hard to name one individually, I especially like Peo's and Yonatan's lmps. The hardest demo ever recorded (not COMPET-N though) must be lv12 TGM style by DL: if you want to see something that *is* impossible done, watch it!
Favourite DOOM or DOOM2 map:
Doom1: e1m7 (e1m4 for DM), Doom2: 15 (1 for DM)
Favourite TC/megawad:
Hell Revealed, Plutonia coming close second
Do you like Quake?
I've played it very little, single player is definitely dull. Quake2 on the other hand looks and feels better, Deathmatch is also promising, requires more than two players though
What do you think of DOOM now?
I've grewn more or less tired with it. I still watch lmps occasionally, but playing feels tedious these days. It's not that another game replaced Doom, it's more like real life took a priority... Nevertheless, no game will ever catch Doom's intensive action and perfect gameplay again
Anything you want to add here:

BIG shame that we have so few of Esko's LMPs, his style is definately a beauty to watch. Made his mark mostly in speedrunning, and some few Nightmare recordings. But I guess he could have become a HUGE all-around player if he wanted to. Anyway, check out his breathtaking lv24-040 and lv19-041 which are among the best speedruns ever recorded...
