ni-ne-te-en vs. six-te-en

Post by fx »

Sixteen demos was uploaded, and nineteen years since Doom was released so let's head over to those sweet demos:

Ultimate Doom
Speed
JC improved xepop's E2M6 speedrun for four second doing e2m6-024.zip, JS says it could be 23, but I'd go even further and say that someone really crazy might squeeze that to 22. But still, nice void hack run, also remember, this kind of runs will not be legit in new CNDOOM database :)

Nightmare
I was surprised when AltimaMantoid told me that COMPET-N is missing one old movie run from Drew. I've asked Drew about it and he was unable to find the demos, but luckily AltimaMantoid had it and we uploaded it. Eight seconds faster than old Adam Hegyi's run, EP3 nightmare run by stx-Vile, e3nm-410.zip. Old but really good run that brings back nice memories. +1 for AltimaMatoid

Final Doom - Plutonia
none :(

Final Doom - TNT
Fast
Interestingly enough we have new player, he says it's nothing spectacular but I say it is. Every new demo or player is highly welcome! So lets wish Ricardo "Rizera" Bischoff a nice welcome to COMPET-N! He improved Ryback's MAP28 for whooping 121 seconds scoring ef28-458.zip!
It's recorded with Final Doom so don't forget to use -gameversion final with Choco/CN Doom.

Respawn
AltimaMantoid sent a neat MAP15 demo er15-236.zip, 46 seconds faster than Eugen. Nice one, waiting for more respawns for my enjoyment.

Doom 2
Nomonster
I did few demos to fill some tables. Feel free to improve. We badly need more nomonster demos. MAP01, 05:97 in d0100597.zip. MAP02, 29:23 in d0202923.zip and MAP03, 24:91 in d0302491.zip.

Hell revealed
Respawn
Revved filled some empty tables and did MAP19 in he19-247.zip.

Memento Mori 2
Max
vdgg improved Xit's MAP05 for six seconds in m205-615.zip. Also he improved his own record on MAP06 for 21 seconds in m206-843.zip.

Tyson
He did more Tyson demos so he filled MAP06 with 39:42 in m2063942.zip and MAP29 with 41:45 in m2294157.zip! Amazing!

Nomonster
I did two nomonster demos. Easy to break. MAP01, 19:91 in o0101991.zip and MAP02, 37:94 in o0203794.zip.

Requiem
Respawn
Revved also filled some empty space and did MAP22 in rr22-720.zip.

Tyson
vdgg was ready enough to smack some Tyson and did MAP30 in rt30-420.zip.

Competition Doom will be after all based on Chocolate Doom v2 so I've worked on Heretic database and Vince approved it and it's possible we will revive Heretic-N too.

Also, here are demos packed in one zip.

Reviving Heretic-N was always something I wanted to do :) Glad someone's making an effort to do so.

That's good to know ;) Unfortunately we can't start anything without a proper client so it's on hold for now.
